Franchise Brands PLC says former HSBC banker Andy Brattesani has joined its board as a non-executive director
Franchise Brands PLC (AIM:FRAN) has announced that Andy Brattesani has joined its board of directors as a non-executive director.
The company noted that Brattesani is an experienced banking professional with extensive experience in the franchise industry. From 2016 until recently, he was Head of UK Franchising at HSBC, the market leader in the UK franchise industry with an extensive customer base including many of the biggest franchise brands.
As well as supporting the growth of HSBC’s franchise business in the UK, Brattesani also led the expansion of HSBC’s franchise model internationally. His banking career over the past 30 years has also encompassed roles at HBOS, RBS and Standard Chartered.
In a statement, Stephen Hemsley, Executive Chairman of Franchise Brands, said, “We are delighted to welcome Andy to the Franchise Brands Board of Directors as a non-executive director. His substantial franchise experience, profile and knowledge of the market and business development expertise will be particularly valuable as we continue to grow our business both in the UK and internationally.”

The group has an impressive growth record, having built a portfolio of high-quality, technology-based brands in the UK, Europe and North America. I look forward to using my franchise and business development experience to help the team drive the future growth of the business.”
Brattesani, 60, does not currently hold any directorships and has held none in the past five years, the international multi-brand franchise company noted.
