DNR finalizes locations for public meetings to discuss possible rule changes – Mix 107.3 KIOW

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is hosting a series of town hall-style meetings where local staff will provide updates on recently ended hunting and trapping seasons, discuss possible changes to hunting rules and regulations and trapping and will address other topics as requested.

“We want people to come to these meetings, listen to reviews of the seasons, ask questions, and hear directly from our staff,” said Todd Bishop, Iowa DNR Bureau of Wildlife Chief. “Part of the meeting will be spent discussing potential rule changes and gathering feedback throughout the rules process.”

Meetings are open to the public. Feedback gathered at these public meetings will be considered along with other related feedback received by the Iowa DNR before proposing changes to hunting rules and regulations. The proposed rules will be presented to the Natural Resources Commission at a regular public meeting for further public review and comment.
