The Darrell Lea Batch 37 Dark Chocolate Liquorice Stout was brewed in the heart of Brookvale on the beaches of northern New South Wales. The two Sydney-based companies have teamed up and brought the best of both worlds for ball and beer lovers to experience both the beautifully bitter and rich alcoholic drink for Father’s Day on September 5th.
Fun Fact: The famous sweet-to-eat black licorice was invented in 1957. Founder Harry Lea gave licorice free in brown paper bags and found people really liked it. Nothing has changed, and this same recipe is still used today and is also the choice of the confectionery in this collaboration.
Johanna Campbell, Managing Director of Marketing at Darrell Lea, said that “Every Father’s Day our licorice line, including the iconic Batch 37 and Bullets, is Australians’ top choice for gifts. Many dads are huge fans of our licorice products, and what better way to say hello to our dads than by combining two of their favorite things? “
If you are considering adding to the basket, hurry, as this one is a limited edition and with so many dads who love licorice and beer, the stock is already sold out online on the Nomad Brewing Co. website. . But do not worry. Here’s a link for you to see all participating retailers to pre-order just in time for the first Sunday in September.
